Case Studies in Partnership
The Case Studies in Partnership: Lessons from NPI Grantees in Zambia, Namibia and Haiti focus on the experience of four New Partners Initiative (NPI) grantees with developing and sustaining successful partnerships – partnerships that also laid the groundwork for the continuation of interventions after the NPI award ended. The processes that the grantees used and a list of essential elements for effective partnerships are outlined.
The grantees – Church Alliance for Orphans (CAFO) operating in Namibia, Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCMI) in Zambia and World Hope International in Haiti (WHI) – cultivated other organizations, networks and groups as their partners to address program challenges, extend their reach into communities, increase their impact and even influence changes in national policy.
The Case Studies in Partnership is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the terms of Agreement No. GHS-A-00-07-00019. The contents are the responsibility of the NPI project managed by FHI 360, and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.
